Roulette Strategies and Why They Don’t Work

“No lose betting system”, “100% guaranteed to win”, you’ve probably heard it all before. Truth is, there is no roulette system that can guarantee you a winner, otherwise we’d all be doing it for a living and casinos wouldn’t be thriving, right?

Not only do roulette strategies fail to beat casinos both online and off, they don’t even make a dent. Few players make a profit in the long-term.

Roulette wheels simply have no memory, so matter what number of series of numbers came up in the past there’s still that same 1/37 chance of your number coming in next time just as it was on the last spin.

Whilst you can fool yourself or let others fool yourself into thinking a betting strategy will work and make you a winner, the reality is you’re going to be risking your money with the odds heavily stacked against you. No strategy can withstand the test of time.

Roulette can and should be played for enjoyment more than anything else. Whether you enjoy heading to a land-based casino to get involved in the action, or playing online, where there are free versions of the game, be sure to play with only what you can afford to lose. For those who want to play for free, check out a reputable online casino, such as: https://casino.betfair.com/c/roulette.

Even in the year 2018, many scammers, or salesmen, are still claiming that gambling systems exist and work. It’s a fallacy. One I read this year was from Balvinder Sambhi, perhaps in the nose to help promote a certain casino in Birmingham.

Mr Sambhi claimed he was banned from casinos after winning thousands of pounds using a roulette strategy that he had been perfecting for years. I mean, if it was true, why would he go to a national newspaper to tell the story and risk himself from getting banned from all the remaining casinos out there?

The strategy itself is clear to see why it won’t be a winner. Mr Sambhi claims that he has a ‘two corner fraction betting system’ that is a guaranteed winner. His so-called system sees chips placed on two corners, covering eight numbers.

He then waits 12 spins where numbers 8, 9, 11, 12, 26, 27, 29 and 30 do not win. After waiting a while for this to happen, Mr Sambhi then places his chips on the two corners that would provide him with a win if the ball lands in the 8, 9, 11, 12, 26, 27, 29 or 30 pockets.

This would provide him with a payout of 4/1 whereas the chances of one of those eight numbers landing is 4.5/1. Therefore, he can be expected to lose in the long run based on the law of averages.

It’s the whole myth of an even that has not happened recently is overdue and therefore more likely to happen. It’s not the case. If you grab a coin now and flip it 100 times, it’s incredibly unlikely that it will land on heads 50 times and tails the other 50. The roulette wheel works just the same way…
