Betfair have been busy over the last few months tweaking the app and getting rid of a few bugs that let it down in the past. Now these are fixed, the app works like a dream! They have become one of the biggest names in betting and has created an app that lives up to their standard. With the app being available on almost any Android mobile and tablet, it’s a great choice for punters. One thing we love about the app is you can cash out on horse racing multiples, which is a big benefit. We all know they can have huge returns and being able to cash out before your last horse falls in the final race of the day can be a huge lifesaver.
Did you know, Betfair were the pioneers of the betting exchange and have one of the most popular exchanges in the world.
The Betfair app is easy to grasp the hang off and new users should be able to get their head around the system in a matter of minutes. The app is visually appealing using Betfair’s significant yellow and black brand colours, it stands out from the rest in terms of design. One thing you notice is just how good the layout of the app is and how stupidly easy it is to find your way around. Unlike some other bookies, Betfair don’t offer a left sided menu, instead they go with the menu at the bottom of the page. Here is where you need to go to view all sports (of which there are hundreds) Roulette & games options and most importantly, a stand out Cash Out button. The idea is that you cannot miss it, so you don’t forget to use it! Let’s not forget that Betfair were first to make this an option and others have now followed suit. Unlike some of its competitors this is a great selling point for Betfair and punters love it.
Top tips on the app – Make sure you allow notifications so you can be updated with all the special prices available from the bookie. They regularly push out offers and most of the time they are very good. The Cash Out option is fantastic and works better than most other bookies. Always make sure you update the app to the latest version to keep up with the regular modifications and enhancements.
The Android app from Betfair offers a wide range of in-play bets for customers as well as supporting multi bet types including singles & accumulators, aka – accas. Add this to the cash out feature and you can see why Betfair is such a popular destination for punters. When betting on football, horses or many of the other sports they have to offer you are able to watch a virtual preview of the game or race of your choice. This is a very beneficial feature included with the app however you may end up glued to it just as much as the real game! You can see a match view or match stats, they are very quick to update and have one of the best visualtions we have seen in a betting app. On top of this, Betfair also offer a streaming service for certain horse races, football matches and other sports when a bet of over £1 is placed on the game or race. They offer up over 100,000 events to view per year so coverage is up there with the best. Log in to your account and you can view a list of all the sports available to stream.
The new Betfair Same Game Multi feature is Betfair’s answer to a bet builder or build you own bet which has been available with other bookies for some time. It is a simple to use feature and allows players to select from a long list of betting possibilities in a game. Fancy the striker to score, 5+ corners, 4 or more yellows? Same Game Multi allows you to build this bet and then back it.
A new feature added to Betfair’s already excellent app is called Quickbets. Now this feature lets you to back and lay on goals, corners, cards and more in a short-time frame throughout a game. Every five-minute window there is a new game where the total resets to zero and the preceding Quickbet period’s bets are settled. The great thing about this new feature is that they increase the number of opportunities to bet on the biggest fixtures, giving punters and bettors more freedom to manage their positions on a game.
As well as offering a huge number of markets the depth of the markets Betfair offer is really impressive. You’ll be able to find odds for the most popular games right down to the most obscure. Sign up with Betfair and on the app or at www.betfair.com and see what special promotions they have going for you.
If you feel you need a break from sports, you can easily access games with Betfair including Roulette & live Roulette, Casino, Arcade and others. Graphics are brilliant and we have hours of fun playing on the games. You can find loads of popular titles to play including – Catwalk, Top Gun, Batman & secrets of the Amazon. Our only complaint is there is no practice mode available to tune in your skills.
Betfair have a wide range of deposit options including credit and debit card however they do take commission on PayPal deposits which is a bit of a blow. I do have to mark them down here, as it can be a blow to large deposits. Overall, a very good betting experience. Give it a go and let me know what you think.
What could be improved on the app?
This app get a huge 4.7/5 rating on iTunes which speaks for itself. Punters love to use the app and rate it so highly, mainly because it is pretty seamless. Our main gripe with the app is the cash out feature. Sometimes you can request it with the cash out button and it just doesn’t work. But no cash out is seamless with any bookie in all fairness. Sometime odds are a little slow to update too but that could be a connection issue. Some users had reported issues of the app crashing, we have always found that always installing the latest updates stopped any of these issue.
How to place bets using the mobile app
If you haven’t used the Betfair Android app or mobile site before and unsure how to place a bet, don’t worry it is easy. You can only place a wager with a logged in account that has funds in it, so make sure you join correctly and have deposited. Find the sport you want to bet on using the main menu at the top of the app or the highlights on the home page. Say you want to bet on the US open, click on golf and then find the event. Click on the open and you will see a list of options such as outright winner, top 5/10 finish market, 2nd round leader and more. Click on the blue box with the odds in and bet is added to your bet slip located at the top right. Add as many bets as you like, one or several, when you are finished, click the Betslip and you can see your selections. In here, you need to add your stake and it will calculate your returns. When you are happy, click Place bets and you have now made your wager. It is the same to do singles on other sports and the same process for accumulators. Just go to the Betslip and scroll down to see the list of Multiples options including Trebles, Doubles, Yankee, Lucky 15 and Betfair’s own Acca Edge to get a your stake back if one team lets your acca down.
“Stokesy” – I really think betfair have one of the best betting apps available for Android users. Cash out is spot on and always has good odds.
